Songs of My father
My dad never made it to Ireland. With ten kids, he was always looking for that pot of gold to support his family and had little time for anything else. Yet he experienced Ireland in song. He sang “Galway Bay”, “Tora, Lora, Lora” “Danny Boy.” Those songs are the background music in many of my childhood memories. When I traveled to Ireland several years ago, I could not get those songs out of my head. I felt he was with me and finally made it to Ireland. Pastel on Panel 12x16” plus 2” gold frame
